I bumped into a friend yesterday who's language was very negative and who was suffering from a distinct lack of 'chutzpah' and drive. Have you experienced this? I have.
This behaviour, if not arrested, will cause a drop in performance possibly jeopardising your job. In this climate that would be a very troublesome outcome.
Now, the only person who can motivate you is, YOU.
What is needed is some self leadership. How can you change your perspective to focus on the things that motivate you?
Imagine you are able to float up on a balloon seeing yourself at work. What positive lessons can you draw out?
Consider the things that are important to you in an ideal job. They might be around being creative, leadership, selling, knowing the big picture, being focussed on goals and of course money. How can you reframe the things you do at work to incorporate those thinks you value? Focus on doing the things you positively think important and stop addressing the negative issues. If you push against something, the more of an obstacle it seems. There are many ways to get beyond a 'wall'. Hitting your head against it just proves it is there. You could just walk round it, like the Magino Line, there will be many more possibilities to cross your 'wall', consider them. Select the best ones.
By showing leadership to yourself and working hard to concentrate on those areas you believe are important at work you might rediscover your motivation and 'chutzpah'.
You may surprised at the changes you make when you refund how to motivate and energize yourself.
