Motorbike lessons

Those who follow my tweets will know that I have recently bought a motorbike.  This is after many years dreaming up reasons not to have one.  Other peoples reasons that is, mmm. Maybe I should blog how I changed my thinking?

Anyway, riding a motorbike is great fun. There are some tricky bits of course.  Like, turning right at a junction.  Well, I have had a few issues and a few near misses doing this.  Tonight I cracked the problem.

The important thing about turning right at a junction is to look at the intended destination.   This is the point of exit from the turn.    Problems arise when I look at the kerb in the middle of the corner and lose sight of the exit of the corner.  Clearly, I want to avoid the kerb but, the more I focus on it, the more the bike is drawn toward it.

This is a bit like life.  Focus on where you don't want to go and annoyingly that is where you end up.
However, lift your head up and fix your eyes on your destination and you will reach your goal.  Simple.

What are you focusing on? Make sure it is really where you want to end up.
