The Beginning

It is 2010, a new year, a new decade and time for a new start. Like many other years it has started with a million resolutions accompanied by an abundance of self help articles in magazines, newspapers and on television. Flicking through these or listening to the box, it all sounds so easy to make those changes that will lead to a better life.
This blog shall capture my thoughts, ramblings, actions and successes as I follow my goal to lead and develop other people by unlocking their potential.
Thankfully, I am not starting from a blank canvas. Last year, I began a coaching accreditation programme with GoMAD Thinking, toyed with neuro-linguistic programming with Helford 2000 and leafed through many applied thinking and self help texts, you know, the ones that can be picked up from those bookshops found at railway stations. My journey had begun.
My day job is a business development manager within the NHS health informatics where I operate as an internal consultant. This role requires a psychitsophrenic perspective with one foot in and one foot out of the organisation. With such a complex take on business, I often work like a Lone Ranger. As I look at my colleagues it is clear a coaching perspective really is juxtaposed to the role
This year, I am looking to make changes in what I do so that I can realise my goal. The environment is not an easy one as I hope you can see (or is that a limiting belief?).
You are invited to follow me on my journey, shake your head at my folly and mistakes, nod sagely as you see me learn and hopefully celebrate my successes on the way.
Enough waffling now...
