Mmmm a subtle refocus of my thoughts was provided by my Dad. I have received a bit of a reminder that my main line of work is business development. The Zen of Dad suggested that I was creating a negative perception of how I was handling my current, business development, work. Maybe I had stopped handling that part of my life with the same level of professionalism I previously did. I sat back in my chair and took in what my old man had said and the comments I had received from work. I literally swallowed my pride.
I reassessed everything. To be a coach, I need to use all the coaching principles. That means now, to see all areas of work, business development and coaching as providing legitimate goals, exciting challenges, developmental opportunities and to demonstrate professionalism.
I can do this.
