Tonight, the talk at Global was loosely linked to Leadership. Well, that was the angle I drew out.
Things to remember about Leading others is that, like Abraham, you cannot take everyone with you. When you near the goal, some people will fall away. That is OK. Some people you cannot change, you shouldn't waste your efforts on the 'chickens' that flap around in the dust. Take the Eagles with you.
In your journey as a Leader, you will have to stop doing some things. Don't keep fighting the giant. This will kill your passion. Like David, let someone else fight the giants you used to fight. And move on.
Do not constrain how you see the world by just using your physical senses. Look at the world through your inner spirit to give a truly inspirational view.
Leaders cannot always see the end goal, that place you need to go. You will know it when you see it. Have faith and inspire others to follow you. Abraham knew he had to find somewhere in the mountains. It was only after three days that he finally saw his destination (Proverbs 20:27). By then, there were many following. When we walk with faith, the light that burns in us, our spirit, burns brighter and purer. In a way, don't worry if the details are no there at the start. Keep following your inner spirit, have faith and you will know when you arrive.
Success is making on the outside, what you say from the inside.
