We are all born to lead

We are all born to lead. We are designed to lead. It is our mind and emotions (fear, anger, guilt, hurt and sadness) that stop us. We all need to start by leading ourselves and this means every day managing our mind and emotions. We need to fertilize what is good and disinfectant what is unhelpful, quickly.

We all have stories, skills, experience and knowledge that can help others and give direction to them. A lamp is no for leading others when it is hidden under a clay pot (Matthew 5: 13-16). Yet, do we all set our lamps to give light to others or do we cede control to our mind and emotions and hide this lamp?

Being a leader and bringing forth your light to lead others takes faith.  Faith in yourself and knowing you are good enough. Faith in knowing your message, where it will take people and that they will listen and follow. Faith in your own gifts inside.

Look inside yourself. Develop your gifts. Find a place where they will be of service. Use your gifts to build a platform to bring people in and influence them and enable them to flourish.

Moses did not believe he could lead. He had faith. His faith was stronger.    Dare you let the leader inside you out?

A special thanks to John Maxwell for the inspiration.
