I have met many people who cannot see beyond their circumstance. They are in a rut. Everything they say is about them and is full of moans, groans and complaints. They are lost in the detail. From the perspective they take, there seems no way out and they just mope about aimlessly.
How about taking a different perspective and keep one eye on your big goals and use the vision of this to fire up your motivation. Be single minded in considering your goals and stir up your passion. Stop emotions and self talk pulling you down like a lead balloon. Accept the situation, don't paint it as rosy and great if it is not but start to look for possibilities and opportunities to move forward, one step at a time.
Engage and involve others, build relationships with people in the same circumstance and work together to get through the situation. You will be amazed how much more colourful your life will be and from where the exit to a better circumstance arises....
